SONIC’S Y2K BREAKOUT!
McHale Design was feeling cyber-inspired nostalgia when we got the opportunity to create SEGA’s trend guide for Classic Sonic boy’s products. For this project, we came up with a modern take on Y2K-era graphics, infused with techy grids, saturated colors, and glowing dance party vibes! The result was a collection of graphic compositions, badges, and patterns that SEGA used for their Spring & Summer seasonal product line.

Bringing Back Early 90’s Pop Culture!
After our successful first collaboration, SEGA let us loose on another trend guide, this time for their Modern Sonic brand. For this series, we evoked memories of coming home from school in the 90’s to watch MTV videos & Saved By the Bell reruns. This look is notably inspired by Memphis style pop art. We had a lot of fun unleashing these bright colors, bold patterns and geometric shapes!
